HISTORY

The French German war of 1870 surfaced the need for voluntary Movement, and the First-AID training. In England, it was started in the year in 1872 and finally took shape in 1877 in the name of St. John Ambulance Association with the responsibilities to organize the training and home nursing to men and women for the benefit of sick and wounded person.

St. John Ambulance Brigade is a worldwide organization, not only to deal With the sufferings arising out of serious calamities such as earthquake, railway disaster or on account of war but it also plays an important role in day to day life at industrial complexes, small or big gatherings like, playground/mela/road accidents and sick men at any place. Various companies and social organizations besides CRPF, RPE, Police & Traffic Police personnel’s.

Authorized body to issue certificates to the candidates who passes in the examination taken by our doctors based on our training. Certificates obtained from our parent body, St. John Ambulance (India) at 1 Red Cross Road, Red Cross Bhawan, New Delhi-110011. Is the only authorized First-AlD Certificate accepted on national basis.

lt is a voluntary organization which was sponsored by Tata Steel from its inception. We are taking some nominal charges for the certification and training although we are depending on our own contribution. Still we try to arrange first AID posts in different festival at different places.

We also impart First-AlD Training Camp once in a year at any place in India where Doctors are delivering the updated knowledge to our faculties & participants.
